The Kern River Is Very Narrow Here -- But Very Fast and Very Deep

This is an ideal place to sit and watch the rafts come down the river.  On a busy weekend (May 19-20) there would probably be as many as 100 rafts come down the river, past this point.  If you are familiar with the Kern, this spot would be a few hundred yards above the power plant -- this is an exciting part of the ride down the river -- this place.
