I perched myself by the side of the Kern River where it was very white, very fast, and quite narrow.  From this spot the many rafters coming down the river had to pass within just a few feet of me.  I took dozens of these pictures -- to get close up photos of the adventure.  My own rafting was quite similar, but I surely didn't try to take my camera aboard MY raft!
