This is the Karl Loren Photo Gallery.  Here you will find pictures of interest to Karl Loren -- they may also be of interest to you.

Most of the pictures in this Gallery have been taken by Karl.  Starting in early 2001 he was using an Olympus Digital Camera, and processing the images directly from the camera into the computer, and onto these pages.In late 2006 he had progressed to a higher level of amateur, taken on the job of webmaster and official photographer for a Kung Fu site at www.yongmoonmookwan.com and in September added some pictures of his dog, here.

I have not tried to minimize the memory requirements for these photos -- each photo is on its own page -- and the pages may take a while to download.

There is an index page for each category of photos -- the index pages feature "thumbnail" sized photos that load very quickly, but, of course, are very indistinct.

These pages also include photos sent to me by others -- perhaps some of yours?

Karl Loren

1.  Karl Loren celebrated his 70th birthday by going white water rafting on the Kern River, in Kernville, California.  This section of the Gallery features about 100 photos of this three day camping and rafting event.  Karl was joined by many of his family to celebrate the birthday.

2. Karl's daughter, Chandra lives in France and when she got married in 1999 Karl and Jean went to the wedding.  Karl's sons, Garth and Chad, also went.  Karl took more than 1000 photos, and the best are published on the web.

3.  There are some 200 photos within the "image directory" on this web site.  There is a considerable process needed to convert these images into "web ready" images which take up much less memory than their original form.  You can access the entire list of these images by clicking here.  That click will take you to a page listing the file names, and showing their size.  Beware clicking on any of the larger memory images (for instance as much as 5 MB for one image) because it could take a very long time to load that image on your screen. But, you can look if you are interested.  This is ALSO a way by which my family members can access various images and easily download some image to their own computer, process it further if they wish, and print it.  In due course I'll be editing these pictures into "web ready" images of the size that fits easily on the screen. But, for now, the entire lot of them is available through this procedure.
