Dear Karl Loren,
I received your book and cassette tape Jan.2. I have only read a couple chapters but I have listened to the tape several times. To me it is very interesting and informative. This will be a long letter but I need help and would appreciate you help if you would be able to do so.
I am 71 years old and have worked in the concrete industry most of my life, never being sick until until I retired 4 years ago when my right arm would get numb. I would just shake it and it would go away.
Then I would get dizzy and at times I would fall down. Then it was time to see my doctor .[ never seen doctors except for injuries ].
He sent me to a surgeon. They gave me an angioplasty and located my carotid artery's.
My right artery is 100% blocked and my left one was 99% blocked. The doctor operated on my left artery.
It was a 4 hour operation, it was to take 45 minutes.
Code blue was called according to my children but I don't know it was for me or someone else. I came out fine and went back to work for about 3 months, I then decided to retire. Working in a very hard physical job is for the young although they had a hard time keeping up with me.
Then on September 9 of 2000 I had trouble breathing, called my doctor, he sent me to the Emergency room at the local hospital where they put me through all kind of tests. They found that I have Kidney failure. How they can find that between a blood test and a ultrasound in beyond me.
The kidney doctor wanted me to go on dialysis immediately but I refused. 4 months later I was back in the hospital again. Breathing problem. I then decided to go on dialysis and I now go 3 times a week for 4 hours a day. It's not enjoyable to say the least.
Both my artery's to the kidneys were almost closed so I agreed to angioplasty and they inserted the shunts hoping I would get more blood flow to the kidneys to get off of dialysis.
THEY LIED.
So I go to dialysis 3 times a week. I also understand that each time I have dialysis they are killing me slowly, but in the meantime I am alive.
Then another problem arose. My voice started to get raspy and continued to get worse. I went to a throat doctor and arrangements were made to have him operate. After the operation he told me that he did not have the proper equipment to go deep enough in my throat.Three months later I couldn't talk at all. Loyola Hospital in Maywood ILwas contacted and emergency operation took place, this time it was a 4 1/2 hour operation.
They removed my larynx, voice box and my lymph glands and also found cancer in my thyroid. It is being treated with drugs so the thyroid does not work.
Now I have a prosthesis that I am supposed to talk but I have a lot of trouble.
Dialysis takes fluid out of my body, sometimes up to a gallon and that shrinks my fingers up so much I can't make a seal to talk.
The doctors all told me that these problems came from smoking and I agree with them. I was a heavy smoker and I quit since Nov. 9, 2000.
When I was working the veins in my arms were like I had nightcrawlers for veins. Now they are like baby worms.
My blood pressure is constantly around 225 over 125 with my pulse around 58.
I take 2 B P pills, Clonidine .02 mg three times a day and Labetalol 200mg 2 times a day on days when I do not have dialysis.
I take Levoxyl .05mg for my thyroid daily I also take Phoslo 667mg after each meal I take 2 pills.
My diet is very limited. No foods with potassium or phosphates and very limited on any fruits.
Prior to the time I got sick I would not even take an aspirin. I didn't take anything. My platelet count is 51 and according to the doctors it should be between 150 and 200. It was down to 20 4months ago.
I have also read in one of these booklets that come in my mail box that I should not have Chelation if I have kidney problems. I don't know if that is true or not. [ I subscribed to 2 alternative news letters and since then I'm getting more mail on alternative medicine than regular mail. I hope you don't sell or give my name to anyone.]
I would like to know if oral chelation would be fine for me and if so which capsules should I take. I do not know you personally but what I have read on your website that you have written it seems that you are a great friend and care about people.
GOD BLESS YOU.
There are not many people in our beautiful country who do care.
I feel bad for writing such a long letter but I am very concerned about my health. Over the years I never gave my health a thought because I was always very strong, but now?????Karl, I need you help if you can help me. I would like to get 5 or more years and possibly without dialysis. That would be super.
I'll be looking for a reply on eMail and hoping you can help., remember I can't talk with my voice. I will talk to Robert Hewitt via eMail since he agreed to do so. He sounds like he is elated and that sounds great.
I hope you may be able to help me.I looked at you prices and I would be able to afford Life Glow Plus if you feel I can take oral chelation with kidney failure.
Please let me know if this is what I should order. My income from S.S. is $ 1242.00 per month so I am very limited with my finances. My drugs cost me about $ 100.00 per month in addition to my bills at home.
I can go on and on but I think this letter is too long as it is. I am really hoping for a favorable response from you.
Sincerly, and thank you very much Karl.
Steve
P.S. Your web site is very informative. A great job setting it up.
P.P.S. I weigh 200 pounds.
